My name is Katie and I’m an artist born in the South West of England. My work is driven by a love for animals and nature. I love creating unique, and sometimes surreal , characters often inspired by the beauty and quirks of the natural world.

I’ve long been captivated by naively drawn images and outsider art. There’s something deeply joyful and authentic in the playful, unpolished style that defines this movement, and it’s a quality I aim to reflect in my own work. I’m drawn to the honesty and spontaneity it allows, and I try to channel that same sense of freedom into my creative process.

All of my pieces begin their life on paper. I draw by hand, letting the shapes and ideas emerge organically. Once the drawings take form, I bring them into photoshop to add colour.

Currently, my practice revolves heavily around screen printing, a medium that allows me to experiment with layering, texture, and bold graphic qualities. I love the meditative process of building up layers of color and form, watching how they interact, overlap, and sometimes surprise me. It’s a process that demands both precision and spontaneity, a balance I find endlessly exciting.
